How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Who Is a Good Candidate?
The best candidates for SkinPen treatments are adult patients in good health looking for a non-surgical treatment that will visibly improve skin texture and reverse aging.
Some patients may not qualify for this treatment for safety reasons, including those with active acne or a skin infection in the planned treatment area, patients with an allergy to stainless steel or a bleeding disorder, pregnant and nursing women, and those taking medications like Accutane. An initial consultation can confirm your treatment eligibility and ensure that SkinPen treatments are safe for you.
What To Expect From Your Treatment
Before we begin this treatment, we can apply a topical numbing cream to your skin to ensure you remain comfortable throughout the session. Then, we’ll activate the device and use it to create thousands of microchannels, or micro-injuries, across the surface of your skin.
Initiating a Healing Process
The body will then react as if it’s been injured and will initiate its healing response, which will inevitably result in increased collagen and elastin production and the production of new skin cells. These new skin cells will replace old and damaged ones to rejuvenate the skin. We use the device to target acne scars, facial wrinkles, and fine lines on the neck.
Once your treatment is over, you can resume your normal daily activities as long as you follow some aftercare instructions to help your skin heal. After your treatment, we’ll apply a cooling mask and provide you with a post-treatment kit that you can use at home to hydrate and nourish your skin as it heals.
Customizing Your Treatment
Not only do we offer standard SkinPen treatments, but we can also add exosomes, PRP, and chemical peels to your treatment to enhance the results. Doing so can target other skin concerns during the same treatment and maximize your collagen induction therapy results.
PRP
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and is derived from each patient’s blood through a standard blood draw at the beginning of the treatment. We prepare the PRP into a topical solution by placing the blood sample in a centrifuge, a device that will spin the blood. The gravitational forces will isolate the platelets from the rest of the plasma.
Once we prepare the PRP into a topical form, we can apply it during microneedling to enhance collagen production, accelerate healing, and force growth factors and healing properties deep into the microchannels in the skin to promote the best results.
Exosomes
We also perform SkinPen microneedling treatments with exosomes, which are vesicles found in stem cells that act as messengers and facilitate communication between cells. Exosomes are important for intercellular communication and promote cellular repair, regeneration, and tissue healing.
We apply an exosome solution to the skin during this treatment to accelerate cellular regeneration and help address other skin conditions, including hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, and redness. Exosomes also promote cellular repair to enhance treatment results.
ZK Face
We combine a microneedling treatment with ZK Face, a chemical peel that follows a triphasic process to brighten, smooth, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin. This chemical peel works with the needling techniques to restore skin firmness and elasticity, help rebuild the skin cell barrier, promote brighter and smoother skin, and improve skin texture.
BioRePeelCl3 FND
