Dr. William Stendardi

Medical Director / Founder

Dr. William Stendardi MD, originally from Brooklyn, New York, developed a keen interest in fitness and health from a young age. During his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science, he discovered a deep passion for anatomy and physiology, leading him to become a teaching assistant in those subjects.
Dr. Will pursued his medical degree at the State University of New York in Buffalo, where he graduated with honors. His residency in San Diego, California, provided training in internal medicine, outpatient care, and acute care.
Following his residency, Dr. Will practiced in an outpatient primary care clinic and urgent/emergency room. His background in preventive medicine through exercise and nutrition inspired him to establish his own clinic. His goal was to offer patient-centric care to prevent and treat potential illnesses in athletic adults while educating them about their health. Dr. Will’s unique vision led to the creation of a one-of-a-kind Sports MedSpa, where he integrates sports medicine with medical aesthetics. Sports MedSpa aims to empower individuals to achieve holistic well-being through a combination of aesthetic and athletic improvements.

Reilly Ciernia

Lead Medical Aesthetician

Reilly Ciernia is an accomplished Lead Medical Aesthetician at Sports MedSpa with over 8 years of experience in the field. Specializing in healing the skin from the inside out and enhancing its natural functions through medical esthetic treatments, Reilly has dedicated herself to transforming skin and lives. Her expertise lies in building honest and enduring connections with her clients, delivering personalized care, and promoting skin rejuvenation. She focuses on the medical aspect of skincare and dedicates her time to educating people on skin health, with experience as an educator in the field. Outside of her professional role, Reilly enjoys embracing nature’s beauty alongside her furry friends, dogs, and horses, exploring the great outdoors and finding inspiration in every adventure. Her commitment to skin health and wellness is reflected in everything she does, both professionally and personally.

Melodi Bac

Operations Manager

As an accomplished novelist with six published books and multiple awards to her name, Melodi Bac has established herself as a prominent figure in the literary world. However, her expertise extends beyond the realm of writing. With a proven track record in business management, Melodi Bac has successfully led the operations of three businesses in the past, including playing a pivotal role in the establishment of one from the ground up. Currently serving as the Operations Manager at a prestigious Sports MedSpa, Melodi Bac brings a wealth of experience in both creative and operational spheres to their role, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the spa’s operations.

Allison Kunkel

Patient Coordinator, Marketing Specialist

Allison Kunkel was a remarkable professional athlete as a World Cup medalist in Alpine Skiing. While currently pursuing dual Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Psychology, Allison brings a unique perspective to Sports MedSpa, shaped by her experiences as an elite athlete and mental healthcare professional. Her exceptional understanding of physical and mental resilience, coupled with her passion for patient care, enhances her role as a Patient Coordinator and Marketing Specialist. Allison’s favorite part of working at Sports MedSpa is witnessing the individuality and confidence in every patient, and empowering them to become the best version of themselves. Allison strives to make every visit to Sports MedSpa a positive and exceptional experience.

Natalia Relic

Event Coordinator

Natalia Relic is a dedicated Event Coordinator at Sports MedSpa, who has a global perspective shaped by her experiences in Serbia and California. Natalia received her Associate’s degree in General Science from Santa Monica College and she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Global Health at the University of California, San Diego. Here, her lifelong passion for healthcare and wellness was solidified and her love for athletic and aesthetic medicine has only grown stronger over the years. Her outstanding personality and positivity establish her as a valuable team member of the Sports MedSpa team. Natalia takes pride in organizing events and thrives in introducing Sports MedSpa to beautiful San Diego.
